The Children’s Guild named LaRon Martin principal of its special education school in Baltimore. Martin brings 14 years of experience in education with a background as a school leader in special education settings serving students with emotional and behavioral disabilities.
Prior to joining The Children’s Guild, Martin was the assistant principal of the Villa Maria School. He has also held the positions of assistant principal at the Center City Public Charter School and principal at AppleTree Early Learning Public Charter School. His career includes experience as a child find specialist, an instructional coach and a special education administrator for the department of special education district office for Prince George’s County Public Schools.
Martin is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University with a Master of Science in special education and a certificate in administration and supervision/instructional technology. He has a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from Bowling Green State University.
