The Key to Our Success
The Children’s Guild’s success with students who have difficulty learning and managing their behavior in school allowed The Guild to expand their philosophy with regular education students. This led to the creation of the Monarch Academy Public Charter School. The Monarch Academies are located in Laurel, Glen Burnie, Baltimore City and Annapolis.
The Children’s Guild serves as the operator of the schools and is guided by its philosophy of Transformation Education (TranZed). The Guild provides back office support for operations, facility management, public relations and marketing services, management of computer and information technology support, purchasing and management of business operations, fundraising, training, special education consultation, and management oversight of the school’s principal.
The Monarch Academies prepare students in grades kindergarten through eight for success in the 21st century, giving them the knowledge, tools, and confidence to be prepared for high school. Monarch Academy provides an enriched curriculum of academic rigor and project-based learning that integrates arts and technology in its lesson planning and provides a physical environment that touches the emotions, stimulated the intellect, and excites the senses.
